Irene Goodman
Irene Goodman has been a leading member of the publishing community for over 30 years and has loved every minute of it. She has sold over 1500 books and counting. Over the course of her career, she has attended over 100 writers’ conferences and keynoted at several of them.
Her clients are regulars on the New York Times, USA Today, Publishers Weekly, and Bookscan bestseller lists. Her list includes business, health, pop culture, baking, Jewish interest, Francophilia, lifestyle, upmarket fiction, historical fiction, and mysteries. Irene looks for nonfiction that can change lives, plus high-end commercial or literary fiction. She takes on whatever appeals to her if she thinks she can sell it, and often puts her own nonfiction projects together.
Titles include WHERE THE CREEK BENDS, by #1 NY Times bestseller Linda Lael Miller, I’LL BRING THE CAKE by Instagram star Mandy Merriman (who appeared on Good Morning, America), BRAIN REBOOT: When Prozac Doesn’t Work by Michael Henry, M.D., head of the bipolar clinic at Mass General Hospital, and SURVIVORS CLUB, a NY Times bestselling Holocaust memoir, by Michael Bornstein and Debbie Bornstein Holinstat.
Movie and TV sales include the recent hits BIG SKY RIVER and its sequel through Steve Fisher, V.P. of the Agency for the Performing Arts in L.A. Foreign sales are too numerous to count. They are sold through Baror International, which is quite simply the best in the business.
Irene and her husband–Alex Kamaroff, an artist and owner of Glendale Brook Studio in the Lenox, MA–divide their time between New York and the Berkshires. When she’s not selling books or managing careers, she likes to bake, attend synagogue events, enjoy the endless variety of cultural events in New York, and spend time with her family.
